3rd XI 08/10/16 v Bloxwich

Stafford 1 – 1 Bloxwich

On a warm and sunny morning, Stafford faced a strong Bloxwich side.

It was a closely contested game and Bloxwich were the first to break the deadlock. Stafford however continued to put pressure on the Bloxwich defence and were rewarded by a well struck shot from the edge of the circle by Kay Cantrill.

The second half saw both sides pressing for the lead. Good saves from stand-in keeper Jo Lovatt kept Bloxwich at bay. Stafford then made a number of attacks, especially down the right with good one -twos between Amy Bailey and Megan Hill, but Bloxwich keeper made a number of fine saves to prevent Stafford from scoring.

Youngster Amy Bailey again excelled and gained the man of the match accolade from both Bloxwich and her own team.
